This source is a criticism of Dorothy Parker’s poem “Resume.” It analyzes the poem and the multiple meanings of the title. The article describes the multiple meanings of the poem’s title and the dark meaning behind this depressing poem. This source was very helpful for getting background information and explicating the meaning and tone of the poem. It seems like a reliable source and I will use this to further explain the poem.

It gives some background information but not a very deep insight into Dorothy’s personal life. It seems like a reliable source since it is .org. I will use this source for Dorothy’s biography.

This source describes women’s role in writing. It talks about the way women were viewed and how people reacted to their works. It is an interesting essay that helps to gain perspective into how women were treated and the struggles that they had to face professionally. I will use this source to describe how Dorothy was discriminated against because of her gender.

This source is a comparison between the authors Dorothy Parker and Katherine Anne Porter. The authors are very alike. This criticism gives insight into how Dorothy’s personal life affected her writing, particularly “Big Blonde” and how alcohol affected her and her writing. Katherine Anne Porter is also explained in this article, although she and Dorothy were not friends. It seems like a reliable source and I will use this to describe Dorothy’s alcoholism and her attitude towards men.
